Somatic (i.e. related to the body) -based coaching is a game changer. This way of working directly with the nervous system bypasses the conscious mind - so we can finally, get to the root of challenges and discover new patterns.

I’ve been a somatic coach before it was popular - using these methods and creating many of my own since 2014. There is talking involved in our work, yes, but instead of only focusing only on mental processing, we work with the body and therefore directly with the subconscious mind.

What is Somatic Coaching?

The word Somatic has become a buzz word, but so much of “somatic healing” that is popularized is not often trauma-informed, or done with careful attunement.

Often in session, client and practitioner both leave with a sense of awe for what unfolds through bringing mindful presence to the body. Through tracking sensations, impulses, patterns of tightness, tension, emotion and more —it is possible to sync up with and release storylines that are just below conscious awareness.

Somatic Coaching is a means of working with that underlying energy — often in tangible ways. —Think of it as analogous to “emotional physical therapy.”
